Buy on Shopee →Overview
The GL-C-010WL is the compact entry point into Gledopto's WLED range — smaller footprint than the 15A controllers at 89 × 48 × 23.5mm, with a built-in microphone for music-reactive effects and OTA firmware updates via the WLED web interface. No UART port — this is the clean-install option if you want a controller that updates over the air and never needs a cable.
Ships with WLED pre-installed. Connect power, connect a WS2812B or SK6812 strip to GPIO16, join WiFi — live in under two minutes. The on-board relay cuts strip current draw to near-zero when WLED is off.
10A total output covers short to medium strip runs. Two data outputs: GPIO16 (primary) and GPIO2 (secondary) for two independent segments. If you need 15A, three channels, or a UART port for serial flashing, see the GL-C-015WL-D or GL-C-016WL-D. For 15A without a microphone, see the GL-C-015WL.

Supported LED Strip Protocols
The GL-C-010WL supports all single-wire addressable (NeoPixel-style) protocols. It is not compatible with analogue (non-addressable) LED strips.
| Protocol | Notes |
|---|---|
| WS2812B / WS2812 / WS2813 / WS2815 | Most common — 5V or 12V variants |
| SK6812 (RGBW / RGBNW) | 4-channel including white |
| WS2811 | 12V addressable, 3-LED pixel groups |
| SM16703P | Compatible single-wire protocol |
| TM1814 | RGBW, 12V |
| FCOB / COB addressable | Check WLED device page for configuration |
Maximum 800 ICs per output. For longer runs, inject power at multiple points along the strip.
Home Assistant Integration
WLED integrates with Home Assistant via the native WLED integration — no YAML, no custom component. Once the controller is on your network, Home Assistant auto-discovers it and creates a light entity with full brightness, colour, and effect control.
Users comfortable with ESPHome can flash it as an alternative to WLED. Note: the GL-C-010WL has no UART port, so flashing requires a connection via the built-in OTA update mechanism or the ESP32 boot pins directly if you open the enclosure. For easier reflashing access, the GL-C-015WL-D has a Micro-B UART port.
Supported control methods: WLED web UI · WLED iOS/Android app · Home Assistant (WLED integration) · MQTT · HTTP JSON API · E1.31/Art-Net DMX
Wiring — Addressable LED Strip
For a standard single-wire addressable strip (e.g. WS2812B at 5V or 12V):
| Terminal / Pin | Connect to |
|---|---|
| V+ (input) | PSU positive (5V, 12V, or 24V DC) |
| V− (input) | PSU negative / ground |
| GPIO16 (data) | Strip DIN (data in) — primary channel |
| Strip GND | Shared PSU ground (run alongside data wire) |
| GPIO2 | Optional second strip DIN — secondary channel |
Maximum total load is 10A across all channels simultaneously. At 12V with WS2812B at 9W/m: 10A ÷ (9W ÷ 12V) ≈ 13m before derating. Apply 20% thermal headroom. For runs over 5m, inject power at both ends of the strip. Use a constant-voltage PSU rated at least 20% above total strip load.
FAQ
Does this work without a hub?
Yes — WLED runs fully local over WiFi. No Zigbee coordinator, no cloud account. Control via the WLED web UI, iOS/Android app, or Home Assistant integration.
How is this different from the GL-C-015WL-D?
The GL-C-010WL is rated 10A and has two output channels. The GL-C-015WL-D is rated 15A, has three output channels (including IO33), and includes a Micro-B UART port for serial firmware flashing. Both have a built-in microphone. Choose the GL-C-010WL for smaller installations where UART access is not required; choose the GL-C-015WL-D for higher-current loads or when you want the option to flash custom firmware via serial.
Can I update the firmware?
Yes — via OTA through the WLED web interface. Navigate to Config → Security & Updates → Manual OTA Update and upload the firmware file. This controller has no UART port, so OTA is the only supported update method without opening the enclosure.
Does the microphone work out of the box?
Yes — the AudioReactive usermod is pre-enabled. Apply any AudioReactive effect preset and the built-in I2S mic is active immediately. No external microphone module or configuration required for basic music sync.
