Overview

The long-range specialist of the SLZB-06 line. Built around the Texas Instruments CC2652P7 — the highest-output 2.4GHz Zigbee radio in the range — for large meshes, multi-storey homes and demanding Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT installations.

Network-attached over 100Mbps Ethernet with an ESP32 core for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Runs the unified SLZB-OS firmware — a clean local web UI, MQTT, OTA updates, standalone Zigbee Hub Mode and Berry scripting. Fully local, no cloud account required.

Why Ethernet and PoE

Over 100Mbps Ethernet the radio sits far from your server, your rack and USB interference, where it belongs. Mount it central and high for maximum reach. Power over Ethernet feeds data and power down one cable, so the install point stays clean.

Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA Compatibility

The SLZB-06P7U adds to Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA as a network (TCP) adapter — no USB pass-through, no serial bridge. The CC2652P7's higher transmit power and receive sensitivity give it deeper penetration through walls and floors, which is what makes it the pick for large or multi-level meshes. It also operates as an OpenThread Border Router for Matter-over-Thread devices.

USB Passthrough Mode exposes a separate plugged-in USB radio — for example a Z-Wave stick — to your controller over the LAN, so a single mounting point can serve more than one protocol.

FAQ

How is this different from the SLZB-06MU?

Same network-attached design and SLZB-OS firmware. The 06P7U uses the high-output TI CC2652P7 radio for greater range and mesh depth, where the 06MU uses the Silicon Labs EFR32MG21. Choose the 06P7U for large or multi-storey coverage.

Do I still need a USB stick?

No. It connects to Home Assistant over your LAN as a network adapter. Nothing plugs into the server.

Does it need its own power supply?

With a PoE switch or injector, the Ethernet cable supplies both data and power. Otherwise power it over USB-C.
