Overview

The GL-G-004P is a mains-powered (AC 100–240V) Zigbee smart outdoor spike light rated IP66 — permanently sealed against Singapore's year-round rain and humidity. It combines full RGB colour with tunable white in a single fixture and runs directly from a standard 3-pin outdoor power point. No transformer, no driver box, no additional hardware required beyond a Zigbee coordinator.

7W produces 500–550lm through a 25-degree focused beam — suited for uplighting trees, uplighting facade columns, and driveway accent lighting where a tight beam is more effective than a wide floodlight. Colour temperature spans 2200K (warm amber) to 6500K (daylight white), with full RGB capability for colour accent use cases.

Aluminium housing with a toughened lens and a corrosion-resistant ground spike. Singapore 3-pin plug is pre-fitted and included in the package. Safety Mark certified (No. 211814).

Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT Compatibility

The GL-G-004P is natively supported in Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA. It pairs automatically on any Zigbee 3.0 coordinator and appears in the Zigbee2MQTT device database under Gledopto. In Home Assistant, it exposes as a standard light entity with full colour, colour temperature, brightness, and on/off control.

The Zigbee endpoint also acts as a Zigbee router when powered, extending mesh coverage for outdoor zones. The 2.4GHz RF receiver allows pairing with Gledopto RF remote controls directly, independent of the Zigbee network — useful for physical switch control without app dependency.

Compatible ecosystems: Home Assistant (Zigbee2MQTT / ZHA) · Philips Hue Bridge · Apple Home (via Matter/Zigbee bridge) · Amazon Alexa (via Zigbee hub) · Google Home (via Tuya hub) · Samsung SmartThings · Tuya SmartLife · Homey

A Zigbee 3.0 coordinator is required — not included. Tested with SMLIGHT SLZB-06P7 and SLZB-MR3 coordinators on HASS.OS.

Installation

The spike inserts directly into soft ground. For hard surfaces (pavers, concrete, compressed gravel), use the included M4 self-tapping screws and expansion sleeves to mount the base bracket first, then attach the fixture. The allen wrench included in the package is used to adjust the spike bracket angle for tilt adjustment.

Electrical requirements:

FAQ

Does this need a Zigbee hub?

Yes — a Zigbee 3.0 coordinator is required for smart control. The GL-G-004P connects to your Zigbee network via any coordinator: SMLIGHT SLZB-06P7, ConBee III, Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB dongle, or similar. For physical control without app dependency, pair a Gledopto 2.4GHz RF remote directly to the 2.4GHz RF receiver on the fixture.

Is IP66 suitable for Singapore outdoor use?

Yes. IP66 is rated for high-pressure water jets — tropical downpour and garden hose splash are both within spec. The fixture is sealed at all cable entry and lens joint points. It should not be submerged or installed in positions where water pools inside the housing (e.g. inverted).

Can I automate it by sunrise and sunset?

Yes — in Home Assistant, create a time-based automation using the sun.sun entity's next_rising and next_setting attributes. The fixture supports brightness dimming, so a gradual dim-to-off at sunset or a pre-dawn ramp-up are straightforward to configure.

What is the actual beam spread at a given distance?

At 25° beam angle: beam diameter ≈ distance × 2 × tan(12.5°) ≈ distance × 0.44. At 1m mounting height, the beam illuminates approximately 0.44m diameter. At 2m, approximately 0.88m diameter. For wider coverage, use multiple fixtures spaced accordingly rather than increasing the beam angle.
